Election spoof

malainformazione.jpg

During the month pf February, Mister Silvio Berlusconi’s newspapers, periodicals and television channels began a veritable campaign of disinformation at my expense.
Every accusation formulated by the media belonging to the head of the centre-right, regarding my alleged improper utilisation of election reimbursements granted to the Italia dei Valori party landed up appearing utterly ridiculous when the Preliminary Investigation Magistrate of Rome archived the case, which was opened only as a matter of official duty.
I had requested the Court to issue a ruling on the matter as soon as possible, since I was convinced that the accusations were entirely unfounded. Others within the centre-right, however, normally count on endless delays occurring in the legal process, until the statute of limitations comes into effect, or else so that laws are made to measure to fit the crime.
Take a good look at the covers and first pages of Mister Berlusconi’s magazines and newspapers dedicated to me and you will understand precisely how totally the electoral competition has been skewed by one person in particular, who uses the media as he wishes to support his allegations and to destroy his adversaries. Herewith the decision handed down by the Court of Rome, which I have also forwarded to the major blog sites, along with a request that the same amount of space be given to this decision as was given to the fictitious claims they published regarding me.
